Wake up
world! Can’t you see what Satan is doing? He is poisoning the minds of people
everywhere.
The devil is glamorizing sin by making everything appear sexy and
seductive, fun and exciting. He makes sex, adultery, gambling, homosexuality,
and drugs seem attractive to all classes and races of people. Don’t fool
yourself into thinking that you are strong enough to fight these temptations.
Many such as you thought the same, and yet they found themselves traveling down
the road of destruction.
Satan
makes you believe that God’s way is dull, boring, out of style, and too strict
to follow. But
know that is one of his many traps. People from all walks of
life have become addicted to drugs and gambling because Satan made it look so
desirable, and they believe like so many others that they could not be hooked.
Beware; if you are not following God’s way, you will become caught up in his
schemes as well.
There are many choices
that we make in this life, right and wrong, good and evil, heaven or hell. God
is so awesome in that He allows us to make these choices in our lives. Yes, He
tells us which choices to make, but He leaves the decision up to us.
Heaven can be entered only through the narrow gate!
The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide enough for all the multitudes who choose its easy way. But the Gateway
to Life is small, and the road is narrow, and only a few ever find it. (Matthew
7:13–14, TLB)
Making excuses for our
choices in life—we all have them; no one is
exempt. If you look at some of the horror stories in the newspapers and on the
television, you will find that many of the convicted criminals had an excuse
for why they commit-ted such crimes. I have seen in some cases where reporters
that interviewed family members of the convicted persons ask, “How did their
life get so off track?” and usually the family’s claim is that “they are
products of their environment.” But God never created any of us to be violent;
we choose the way we want to be portrayed in life.
Men will never let you forget the wrong
path that you have traveled down, but God throws it in the sea of forgetfulness,
never to remember it again. Jesus, the precious Lamb of God, accepts you,
faults and all. Do not let anyone keep you from the one that really loves you.
Satan will use you up and then toss you to the wolves. The Father cares so
deeply for you in that He knows the number of hairs that
you have upon your head.
It is time now to make
the right choice; the devil has fooled you long enough. One day that so call
party will end, and after Satan has drained you of all spirituality, you will
belong to him forever. Learn his tricks, and rebuke them when you see them
coming. It’s dangerous to test the waters because if you cannot swim, you will
surely drown. You can-not win on Satan’s territory because once the spirit of
God has left; you have nothing to protect yourself with. God’s Word is the sword,
and without it you are defenseless.
As Dorothy said in the Wizard of Oz,
“there is no place like home.” If you have lost your way, ask for the
directions that will lead you back on the narrow and straight path.
Dorothy searched diligently for the
great and powerful Wizard. She was told to follow the yellow brick road. At the
end of her journey, she found him, but only to be disappointed when she
discovered he had no powers. He put on this big charade before the people about
how great he was, but it was all an act. He had insecurities himself. Dorothy
had to realize that she had the power deep inside of her all along.
Do not be fooled by the
outward appearances of men. It may seem as though they have it all together on
the exterior, but deep inside they are weak and frail. Satan wants to paint us
a picture that he is great and powerful, but that is not true; the power lies within
you. Make the right choice, and get back on the straight and narrow road. There
is no condemnation for returning, but there are consequences for not reverting.
Dorothy said it best— “there is no place like home!”
